At NEDCRANES, you maintain and repair industrial cranes at customer locations across the Netherlands. Seaports, inland terminals, production companies, factories and rail terminals — every location is different and every project brings new technical challenges.

You make sure installations keep running, because when a crane stops, the entire operation comes to a standstill. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working at heights, can work independently and knows when to coordinate with colleagues or customers. Someone who wants to grow in the profession and is ready to take responsibility.

What will you do?

As a Mechanical Service Technician at NEDCRANES, you are responsible for the maintenance, repair and modernisation of industrial cranes at customer locations. You work at great heights on gantry cranes, grab cranes and other heavy installations in ports, factories and transshipment facilities across the Netherlands.

No two days are the same. One day you carry out preventive maintenance at a production facility, the next day you solve a mechanical breakdown that has brought an entire terminal to a standstill. You are the one who keeps operations running.

Your daily work includes::

Inspecting, maintaining and repairing crane installations
Performing modernisations and upgrades on existing systems
Logging and reporting completed work
Communicating with clients about the progress and condition of installations
Ensuring a safe workplace, even during complex technical work

You work independently as well as together with colleagues. At NEDCRANES, everyone knows each other. Communication is direct, the lines are short and there is little bureaucracy.

MBO level 2 or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics
Practical experience in mechanical engineering or maintenance work
Driving licence B or BE
Comfortable working at heights
Able to work independently and take responsibility
Flexible and willing to work in breakdown and emergency service shifts
